    Bike project

clean the carb... it needs to be soaked and cleaned properly... it probably has varnish built up inside it... the float needle is probably stuck in addition to the jet being clogged...

    Dirt cheap welding curtains/blankets!

I have several of the larger welding blankets from HF... I use the **** out of them. Cheap and work good. I also have a couple of their larger canvas drop clothes that I use to cover stuff in the garage. As for other tools from HF, I don't buy many cause they have quite a bit of junk...

    Floor material / body mounts?

body mounts = hockey pucks with a 1/2 inch hole drilled through them, they are cheap and make one hell of a body mount you can use 1x1 to frame out the floor then lay flat 18 guage on top of it... use 1/4 inch plate for the body mount, welded to 1x1... as far as noise goes, sound deadener...

1936 chevy low cab build 1.5T

Mike, I have been over here for a while, I just don't make a whole lot of posts... also, on the hydroboosters, there are two types made for the Chevys... one has an agle mounting plate and the other has a flat plate, you want the latter so that the booster and master mount at a 90 degree angle...

1936 chevy low cab build 1.5T

Mike, I run a hydrobooster in that little bodied truck you saw... they are wonderful... just as an fyi, 90-96 astro vans have the hydrobooster with the flat plate mount for the firewall... and the master cylinder off those works great for juice brakes. Or as an alternative, 98+ s-10 master...

    welding problems

Try setting that gas flow down to 15-17 cfm at the regulator. I have a Lincoln 180, 220 volt setup here at the house, and run it right at 16 cfm for 1/4 inch work. Buzzes along like butter. .030 wire too. also, as stated, make sure you have the right tip for the wire size, that can screw you...

    welding cart

I like that... I've been toying with the idea of building a new cart to house 2 bottles and 2 welders (110 & 220). The hanging area for clamps is exactly what I need, they are everywhere right now

another reason for face shields when grinding

I've never had a flap disk break like that. however, cut off wheels are also very prone to explode. I've had one come apart on me and the only thing that saved my face was the face shield. Of course, I dropped the angle grinder one time onto my foot and low and behold it just barely missed...

    gas welding sheet metal

flux core wire burns way hotter and from experience, it is easier to warp the metal. I'd definitely run gas, low amps and tack tack tack
