    Can cast iron be welded

I like to weld cast with a torch. More of brazzing really. You need to grind the surface down and weld it on a neutral flame. They make rods just for cast.

Mrs. Tripper's fly-by-wire gas petal... couldn't believe it!

No they have electric power steering. There is still attachemnt to the rack but an electric motor is used to give the power assist. It is in the steering column. And they are a POS. And honda did the 4 wheel steer in the 90's on the prelude. So that was kinda steer by wire.

Mrs. Tripper's fly-by-wire gas petal... couldn't believe it!

DOT will never let FBW steering since there is no physical attachment to the steering. That is way to unsafe for me.

    New invention!!

He came up with a differant way to use planetery gears to make a cvt transmission. Which is not new. The toyota prius transmission (which they did not invent) uses two planetery gears sents and two electric motors that do that same thing. Ifinante amount of gear ratios. No shift points. Starts...

    Trailer?

I feel its ok to tow a project to the show. I enjoy seeing a car that is heavy under construction. Gives you a chance to see the guts of a car. But if its drivable then drive it to the show. Why build it just to trailer it to the show? Even worst is the guy that parks the trailer down the road...
