Is that a floating spring mount on that rear axle?
So, the axle moves forward & rearward on the spring as it cycles?

Me likey!! That grill shell looks REALLY familiar, it's twin is in my shop..I pie cut angle iron for mine though..

clamor

I put the shakle there just so there wouldn't be any binding while the axle moves up and down. It is the same theory as a truck leaf spring, one side is stationary and the other has a shackle.

Tim...ok

Can you post a pic. of it.

I'll try..my computer had to be reloaded awhile back and I have yet to find the install disc for my camera..

No problem on the pictures Tim...ok just curious how it looks.

donsrods, I apperciate it. I love the way the old straight axles look, old look new tecnology.

I'am waiting on my disc brakes from speedway motors then I can finish up the front end and get the stearing done. I will get some more pics up sometime next week.

Ah, I see ...
At first I thought the ladderbars were solid mounted to the axle and the spring was mounted with a slide to the axle. I saw something like that on Stacy David's Gearz once. I see the shackle on the ladder bars now.

Here are some pics of the window frame I'am building.

The fabricating skills of you guys on here is incredible. That is awesome.
I had a 27 roadster back in 2004.It just had a little 305 and it would accelerate so fast it felt like my body tried to run out from under my head when I punched it.
Yours is going to be incredible.Very nice job!Wish I had half your talent.[;)

I apperciate it. There are a lot of very talented fabricators on this site and I love seeing what they come up with next.

I finally got my disc brakes on the other day, now I have a rolling chassis. I will try to get some more pics up this week.

Well its been almost a year since I have updated any pics so I thought I would see what you all think so far

I like it, Are you going to use the big 5 spoke wheels? I myself like the steel wheels better maybe a smaller tire on the front, but it is your rod do what you like.
