Long story short I got a great deal for a "Rat" I am all about the look and the stance but I have no pationece for half ass work. Drivetrain was professionally built but the body has a lot left to be desired. I have had the car for a few short months and made some serious progress.

Most of the bottom 4 " is gone with the exception of the ****ty metal work done by the previous owner. So I am replacing the bottom panels

Roof was a bunch of layers so that had to be fixed with a 40"x40"Ragtop

Looks like you've accomplished some good stuff already. I've had the same experience with my truck, the previous owner was a real hack.

Nice updates! Anyway you could post up some pics of the top. Maybe pic of your opening when it's ready to set in. I'm thinking about doing the same. What company did you go with?

Much improved. You've come a long way, looks great.

BTW, the term "5 window" is not used with model a's. They are ALL 5 windows, so they are just called coupes. :) 5 window and 3 window terms didn't begin until 32.

Hmmmm i didnt know that about the 5 window term. Cool, thanks for sharing. Learn something knew everyday.

nice work turning it around. Should be 100% better in the end. You have enough room around the shock wave when it is inflated? just looks kinda close to the body brace but it could just be the camera angle.

Don is a perfectionist but he will help all of us at any time. Wealth of knowledge there. [P

What about Model T's? Didn't they have both 3- and 5-window coupes available?

Model A sport coupe is a 3 window, but it doesn't really count. Don's five window comment is accurate.
I believe All Model T coupes are five windows. But nobody calls them five window coupes.
All that aside, you are doing a fine job on your car.

Very nice little piece of knowledge. So I got to working on the floors the past few days. Original owner thought tek screws and pallet wood was a acceptable material for a floor. Original bench seat was easy to remove since it was just sitting in there. No seatbelts, no tunnel or driveshaft protection.
