Thanks guys, yeah I do love this stuff. I've never had much money so I had to learn to make what I wanted, some times I would liked to have had the money to just go buy what I wanted but then my stuff would have looked like a lot of others peoples stuff and after you spend so much time on a project just to pull in to a show, cruise in or just driving down the road and see another rod that looks like yours, well that just sucks. The shifters take a while to make but it is fun to see what you can make out of rawl steel and imagination.

Not much progress lately, just getting things ready to build the frame and get this into a roller. I did get the front frames rails made, tapered some 2"x4"x3/16" tubing down to 3" and put a slight curve in it.

You're going to want about a 45 degree angle on those rear spring shackles or they will limit the spring action. Lots of originality going on here. Fun to follow along to see what you do next.

Yeah, I gotta tweak the brakets a little, never used that setup before.

Got the motor and trans in today, have to make a new front spring perch [man is that big ol caddy motor heavy] and raise the front up a couple of inches.

Made some hairpins today and set them in place, still need to attach'em to the frame. I didn't like where the wishbones ended up so I made these, they ended up being 46" long but they so much better than the wishbones.
