A little bead work

This is the bead work I done on the chief.
I don't want to over do it but, if you have any suggestions on what else I'd consider it

Honestly, I think it's at the perfect point. If you did a little more, you'd have to do a lot more.
It's like an image that's not completely in silhouette; just enough of both detail & suggestion.

I've had a pretty bad vibration in the engine from day one.
These nailheads are externally balanced and there isn't a pin in the crank to position the flywheel in only one spot. There is a locator hole in both the crank and flywheel.
I was 99% sure I mounted the flywheel correctly so I took the pressure plate to the place I bought it and they found it to be almost an ounce out, rebalanced it and the engine is smooth as silk.
I figured since the drive shaft was out I would change the 3.50 gears out to 2.75 and what a difference it made, I love them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you found your vibration. That's irritating to have to put up when you feel like you've done everything right.
Now you can just sit back and drive the wheels off it.

I've had carb issues from the start too.
Acted like a vacuum leak but I couldn't find it until, I pulled the carb off and as you can see it was an internal leak
The gasket didn't cover the heat cross over passages
Fixed it and all is good

I finally decided to make my grille.
I too some 18ga. sheet metal and designed a grille in Qcad and cut it out on the CNC plasma.
It's not fastened to the surround so it has a little waive to it.
I'll fasten it to the surround tomorrow.
