Has anyone seen this car before?
It's a 1954 Olds F88 and it sold for $3,240,000

I didn't even know there was one

That's what this one was they reported a possible 3 of them and this is the only one left.
It was in pieces an they put it back together.

The car currently resides in Western Colorado in the little town of Gateway. The guy that started the Discovery Channel owns it and started the Gateway Canyon resort where the car is on display with others from his collection. I hope to get out there this year to check it out.

I was able to ride in that Olds (vette) @ the goodguys in Puyallup Washington many years ago before it was sold @ BJackson..... what a COOL car....

That concept is very corvette looking, with some caddy overtones....

Not sure I like the fishmouth front, but I do like the back, and the chrome (gasp) fins on the tail section...

All the GM groups seem to have had a take on the Vette style:

It's definitely based on the Corvette platform. I don't recall GM ever doing that again - until the Cadillac XLR. I'm not certain, but it sure looks like a Cadillac'ized Corvette.

That car is in Gateway, Co along with a good collect of others. It is open to the public, go to http://www.gatewaycanyons.com/gateway-auto-museum.aspx or www.gatewaycanyons.com for more info. I have been to this museum a couple times now. it is about 1 hr south of Grand Junction. It is one nice car.
