you get more cool projects than the law should allow ! I guess when you keep your nose to the ground you never know what you will find , Nice job :)

whats ur plans for the build rev?

update the drive line, hydraulic brake, has mechanical now, 4.3 4speed put the cab back together shorten the bed, and drive her to bonniville!!!salt flats here i come!!!!!
this truck has real charm she was a 4 door the owner cut down into a truck to work out of during the ww2 , very cool history, been in a barn since 1956 , till bondobandedo got it! ! i was going to do the usual thing slam it chop it and rod it, but something said leaveit like it is just make it driveable, its a work truck now go do some work out of it !!!! For the lord!
fix whats needed and enjoy!

the truth is the wood is the only thing that concerns me, i am going to replace it with metal, never done that on something this old! but i am sure i can ! uits metal, when it doesnt do what you want it to do, beat it into submission!!

goodluck with it glad to see it in good hands really wish i would have had more time to get it together but you saw i have my hands full.

sounds like a good plan.. replacing the wood will take some time but im sure you can get it done..

Good luck!

The truck is cool Rev! The green paint really sets it off! You are going to keep it that arent you? I think you should - it gives it a ton of character. :D In this one case - disregard my signature!

yeah i am , i am going to try to leave this truck untouched as much as possible! i really like the green, theres a trick to aging paint,, if i have to mess with it and in someplaces i will have to!, but you can buy the color you want in oil, and mix it 50% to 50% paint and naphta thinner, it will make the paint chalky looking when it dries down and in about a month it wont even look like you painted it! the color will be there but it will look 50 years old, then wipe it with linseed oil every month or so , it will look great!

well i have spent 2 days looking for wood kits for this thing and theres only 2 companies in all of america!!! something tells me that is going to make it very expensive! i had the idea that if i had a wood kit i would take it and make it in metal by taking16 gauge metal and bending is to the specs and maybe start making kits for folks that wanted metal! do mine first and refine it down, butnow i think i am just goin to tuff it out and do this from scratch![S

well this turned out to go a little better than i was expecting!! i built me a table, i had enuff of the wood down the drives side to give me a pattern then i just fliped it over and wade the pattern on the other side, dont know if you can tell but the top of the table has a grid of 1foot square lines, then i measure all my mounting holes and placed them on the table using the pattern from the wood that was still good, . the wood had all the mounting hole still in it . that was a big help! also i had the drivers side door jam wood and the dash piece that was still complete , and did the same thing for it , use 1x1 tubing 11gauge and bent iit according to the curves and that was it weld it all together!this as far as i got, i have got to get a mig welder, i can do it all with my stick welder but its alot slower,
