351W with AOD trans.

I am putting the parts together for my first build and found a 351Windsor with an AOD transmission for $450.00.It also runs. Is this a fair price?

Well, you know, there's "runs", and then there's RUNS! It depends on how good it sounds, looks, even smells. If it's in good condition, that seems to be a fair price. The Windsor is one of Henry's better engines.

the 351W is a great motor. It is a little taller and wider then the 302. The AOD trans are good trans. The AOD is larger and heavier then the C4 or C6 trans and depending what frame you are using there my be some issues with making it fit. If you are using a 1936-40 Ford frame us will need to rework the X-member.

If the motor is strong running and the trans is good it is worth 450.00.

Thanks guys.I'm going in the morning to hear it run so I will either buy it tomorrow or pass. A friend knows the guy selling it and says he drove in and parked it so it should be good.Will let ya know.

Bought the 351 and tranny this morning. It's starting to come together.
