You are making a lot of progress, its looking really good, I like the frame color too.

Thanks DR!

Did the main sections of the air and fuel lines. Not a big deal, but documenting is part of the game for me. Plus doing this stuff now is a lot easier than trying to do it later when everything is in the way. Will set the frame on the suspension next week and drop the motor and trans in.

Frame is back on the suspension. Got a few more brake lines to run then I'll drop the motor and trans in. Also started working on finishing the bed. More to follow.

headers

Thanks Ty!

Finishing up some stuff before I break everything down. Got the steering column bolted into place...had to "manipulate" the flange that bolts to the firewall. Ended up cutting it from it's orginal location and moving it back a little then welded it back in place. Took a long time, but I'm glad it's done! o

Also got my exhaust turn outs. I ordered some flanges that I will weld to these so I can run block-offs with a full exhaust as well. I slid them on the headers to get a look at how they might turn out. Out to the side or pointed down?

who made those headers and part number thanks dave sent e-mail to [email protected]

Engine Install

I installed the engine today and did some more work on the brake lines as well. slow going right now because of a knee problem that I'm having. Going to finish up the brake lines tomorrow and maybe start the exhaust system.

Also started the wiring...using these sealed connectors...I think they're going to work well.

Hey Ty,
No updates lately...had a death in the family and have been dealing with all of that over the past several weeks...also picked up the flu when I went to Maryland for the funeral. It's been a tough a few weeks...Needless to say the truck has been sitting.

Plan to get there this weekend and get some work done...I'll make sure to upload some pictures.

Troy, sorry to hear about your loss. I had to deal with that in March. Trucks looking good man. I've been looking for that deal, if ya know what i mean. Actually looking for a pre-49 Chevy/GMC full fender truck.

Thanks Ty. It's been a tough road...been back to Maryland several times since my last post. Good luck with your search...I'll keep my eyes out for you.

Sorry about your loss Troy but that chassis is looking awesome! Getting back on it will hopefully be good therapy :)

Thanks Snake. I worked in the garage for 9 hours today...first time I've been there in about 2 months. You're right...it was nice just to not think about anything and get some stuff done on the truck. I'll post up some pics soon.

How's thing's?

Got the bed mounted back on the frame and worked on finishing up the fuel system. On to the cab...I'll keep you guys posted as I plan to get some work done soon.

Thanks,

-Troy
