Well I'm back I have put a little work in on the 39 ... I've built some 4 link brackets which I decided on ... I mocked up the 373 posi out of and ole 78 TA.... Its a 10 bolt which should launch this thing like a rocket .... If it was good enough for the TA its awesome the rat rod ...:D ...I ordered coilover shocks today from speedway hoping to get them tomorrow so I can mock up this weekend... I'm hoping to be able to spend more time building the 39 I would like to have this thing close or done by mid summer we will see keeping my fingers crossed... Keep with me guys I will bring u more soon...
Well RRR having trouble down loading pics off my phone pics being rejected so I'm going back to my camera instead of my phone.... I will put on more pics this weekend [S

Old Iron ..... I thought about using 3/8 steal plating instead of 3/16ths .. To be honest its fine the way it is ... It's hard for me to not over build something ... My problem is if it don't appeal to me right off it bugs the **** out of me... After getting it mocked up it look good to me.. I'm building this to drive the **** out of I just want it to be right.. Thanks for your compliment it means a lot thanks for following my build

Love the build!! It's uncanny how similar yours is to what I'm trying to build. Only thing is yours is sooooo much better than mine that I'm ashamed to post pics. What grille shell are you using? I have a 33 Dodge truck for mine and plan to use rack and pinion steering. Keep the pics coming. [dr

Thanks, I'm using a 38 Ford pu grill with the v/8 badging. It's starting to get close now I can see the end.. thanks for reading

Looks great!!! I agree with Ricky though, a couple passes through the roller would really dress it up!!!

I agree out of all the tools I have my bed roller I loaned out to one of my racing buddies never got it back don't know where he is . When I get my stake pockets on I'm hoping that will help. Thanks for reading.

Reworked Roof (39 Ford PU Booze Runner)

[;) OK guys and Gals.... I started reworking my roof today... I want u all to know this was my first chopped top it wasn't bad but wasn't good either... I split the top and had a dip in the roof where I put an 1 1/4 splice to get my roof lines to line up.. u couldn't really see the dip in pictures but u could looking at it in person... So I wanted to get the flow going and a smooth look.... :D ... I want u all to remember this is my first real RAT ROD build... Now I built a couple Rat Rods when rat rod wasn't heard of back in 78 80's ... This is my first documented build, I have built dirt race cars for 30 yrs and wanting to start building Rats instead of race cars... I injoy the change hope you all injoy reading and pics as much as I injoy building them... Here are some pics....[cl ... Probably happy I'm shutting up ...

Sheet Metal Break

Now that's making good use of "rain days". You must have a pretty big sheet metal brake.

Not really I have a 6 ft cheep metal break ...I can't say cheep its under 1000.00 dollars. My son and I have built alot of race car bodies it is fine for that... It works ok I need a box break would be great...Box break would be easier... If I'm a good boy maybe santa will bring me one for Christmas [cl ... Thanks for reading
