Buick Nailhead and Tranny

I remember hearing that a TH400 auto tranny from a Jaguar will fit a nailhead motor..................Anyone know if this is true??

I don't know about the Jag but I do know that late 70's early 80's jeep cherokees tranny's will fit. I would like to know if the Jag will fit. it'll be an expensive piece I bet. TP

Just an update on this.......TMP is correct, many Jeep trans were from GM and fit the Nailhead.......The Jag tranny will not fit. I found a ST 400 from a Nailhead, with a little work it will fit my early motor.
