chop ideas

l didn't explain correctly what l meant on the chop:eek:

by taking the metal out from under the rear windows ya can leave the windows stock height in the rear and the curved side ones.

when l was building mine l went out with a tape measure and really thought about this, ("COUSE l REALLY WANTED TO MINE, but didn't:D) and this is what came up with;

4'' in the rear and 4 1/2'' at the windshield.

or at the MOST

4 1/2'' in the rear and 5'' at the windshield.

that leaves enough metal around the back of the cab to weld it back together and enough windshield to see out of.

also put in the driver's seat/steering wheel where it's gonna be mounted and sit in it to check if you can see out and be comfortable. suck to do all that work and then can't drive it. (been there)

the peach colored on has a 4 1/2'' chop. (first website) one pic is a 3'' chop.

here is a few pics of chopped pilot houses;

Wow, thanks for the links skull, I kinda like the looks of the last one, but not a fan of purple. So looks like maybe I should go with the,4.5" and 5"

Got a little done today.

Pulled the front end off today. Not sure if I can , but I would like to use the original front end to build the suicide out off. If I can't I think I have an old Ford or Chevy bar at my dads. :confused:o
