GM compatible parts ???

Does anyone know a reference source, Website or Book that might list GM part compatibility?

My 1959 Olds Super 88 was a B frame. Because it was not high production model, parts are rare at best. I have to GM's divisions shared some common parts to control cost.

My current search is for Gas Tank straps.

This Wikipedia page lists the different cars made on the B-body platform, maybe checking what was made the same year from that list is a start?

before computers were every where l bought a couple sets of these in the 198O's and they are a fantastic source for info on interchangeability of mechanical parts, suspension, body and glass.

I just found, Hollander Interchange Classic Search Manual III, which should help.

My trouble is:

A) Oldsmobile
B) single year body
C) only 20,000 made of my model.
D) All of the above

parts interchange

The interchange tells what is the factory parts that fit but not what you can do with other year or makes. Like Ford pickups , the basic stamping is the same but holes in different places for different years, . Gm windshields, shape is the same but the old caddy tint was gradual, other cars had a definite line.
