Hi everyone I am joe and live in northern Az. and i love your site and the rods. You guys have sent my brain into overdrive. Here are some picts of the bike I am building and I hope you enjoy It is a 1inch up 1out and about 2 out the back with a 33 degree rake. 160 rear tire and 120x21 front. Bike should handle ok and be fairly easy to ride. The wheels are aluminum billets machined to 12 spoke like a model t and then i did hickory overlays. Building these was a pain in the u know what. battery box fits down in the oil bag and fuel tank will have riveted overlay like oil bag and rear fender.

cool rims... very unique.. glad to read that the wood was just an overlay.. !

Nice start!
what year is that pan? I know its got shovel heads on it, but its still a pan to me.

Thats interesting. I've been wondering how I could use some modern tuner spoke wheels on a rat without looking 'Tuner'. You seem to have pulled it off.

Were these wheels solid discs, or spokes when you started? What did you have to do to get that look.? Its a Killer idea--mucho creative.

Thanks for the pics..

The title cracks me up every time I see it. Gothic Bile - not sure that's a good name or not? ;) Maybe Tripper would fix that if you asked.

wahoo that motor is one a friend loaned me for mockup. The motor i am using is a S&S 93inch generator shovel but it actually is alternator charging system in the other case. I am going to build a fake gen. but use it to help with oil storage. Are you a bike builder as you know your engines. Take care

Fantastic, Joe.

Doug kept telling me about someone in the AABA building a Gothic bike. Just never computed. Finally, he showed me some pics of it a few weeks ago.

Haven't had the opportunity to lay eyes on it. What I can see in the pics is amazing. Great metal work. And the wheels are works of art.[cl[cl[cl[cl[cl

Man....
I love your mock-up and the wheels that you made. Enclose are pics of my '60 Pan. Motor bored .020, oversize valves with triple angle cut, S&S G carb, suicide clutch(Dodge trk shifter on Mousetrap), footshift, Shovel rear sprocket and disc brake, reversed front fender and mounted on rear. I had it up to 115mph beside a new FXR with throttle to go faster but I didn't want to:D Your wife will like the '60 with a swingarm, I put 10 1/2 in shocks to lower it, Corban seat....very comfortable ride!!

gothic bike build- exhaust system

I cut the flanges on the cnc table and bought mandrel bends in different radiuses to make pipes. The bends come in a light gauge and i got to say they are kind of a pain to work with. i am going to paint it flat black
