Hi everyone. Just wanted to say hello. I've been hanging around in here a few days, reading as much as possible. I have three old Scouts, and I WAS going to restore one out of the three, but now that the Rat Rod Bug has bitten me REAL HARD, I might just make a rat scout.

Kind of makes sense to me.

Its got a suitable frame. Rounded body corners. Simple design. Lots of rust.

I have two 1966's, and a 1970. My plan so far is to chop and channel, and attempt to make it look old school truck. I am thinking of extending the frame a foot or so in the front.

Hey Kibby

Welcome from a near by state of New York....you know we love to rust out our old iron.....I have never seen a rat rod Scout before...might be cool tho....most Scouts that I have seen are sky high in the air and covered with mud...
Hope you have fun with your build...sounds interesting for sure...

I'm thinking that making one of my scouts into a ratrod will be twice as much fun, and cost half as much money.
