last night my brothers car got hit by a drunk driver. I feel bad for him. the guy has no ins. on his car. my brothers ins. will not cover it. my brother has been out of work for 8 months now. I told him today I will give him $1000.00 I saved. so he can start to rebuild. he said a man that lives in his town has a frame cab and bed. he wants $4500.00 I told him to ask the man if he will take the $1000.00 and hold it for him till he gets the rest. the only things he can save on his truck is the front end motor steering trans and front wheels.

Really sorry to read and see that! Really! First things first - Is your brother OK physically?? I hope so! Didn't your brother have uninsured motorist coverage?? For something that nice he should have. Thirdly - It could have been so much worse. Still not a good situation but at least your brother is here to talk about it. There's some lessons to be learned here. Don't ever think it can't happen to you and If you value your car and your life, then make sure you have them covered by adequate insurance. Cars can be rebuilt. People sometimes can't be!

Not meaning to preach - but it could have worked out much differently for your brother and the truck.

I hope the drunk gets whats coming to him instead of the usual slap on the wrist! Unfortunately it'll probably take him killing somebody and seven more arrests for the same thing before they even take his license away or put him in jail for a day or two.

No coverage or they won't pay what it's worth? Bad deal either way. Hate to say it, but your brother needed to have the insurance sorted out better for such a nice car - appraised, etc. At least he wasn't hurt.

I would call a lawyer I they can make a buck the should rep him for the pay off in the end. I am sure the DD doesn't have any money either but u never know.

Always check the homeowners ins. a friend just got 438 large for working on his broke down rig infront of a budys house ........................
