howdy .. I'm a 53 year old truck driver ...
just found this site and the phenomena of rat rods.
i hail from west central missouri. i farm and run cow calfs.
and of course long haul truckin.
......
I've got a 46 international cab and some running gear.
found a shop not too far from me .who can build me a frame.
solid front Axel. posies traverse mounted suspensions front and rear.
it's stumping me .. with that suspension .. what keeps the cab from rolling and swaying in curves ?
bear with me .. I'm not a mechanic .. I'm a simple truck driver/farmer.
hope to learn alot from this site.
thanks.

Hello Peabody, and welcome to RRR from northern Alberta. I also am a farmer/ trucker with a hot rod passion. This is a great group to be with.
My opinion on transverse springs making the body sway, is the springs are not pivoted at the centre, they are U-bolted solidly to the crossmembers so stay fairly rigid. There are anti-sway bars on the later model cars and that helps quite a bit. AND, they sway more than some people would like.
Keep on tinkering.
Oh, and the guys are going to hound you for pictures, [ I'm one of the worst].
