Let's see your Race Cars!

I know a lot of you guys used to race cars. So I thought I'd start a "Lets see your race Car" thread. Circle track, road course, drag, rally whatever, lets see them. And, not Big Daddy's, John Force, The Snake, Petty, Earnhart cars. We've seen them before!

I'll start. I race dirt track for 13 years, 1984-1996. Started in Enduro class went on to NASCAR Charger then NASCAR Street Stock. Raced at Watsonville, Antioch and San Jose, CA.

Here's my first one a 1966 Pontiac Tempest I raced in Enduro Class. 100-200 lap races, no yellow flags, red only on modified dirt oval.

1973 Pontiac Lemans NASCAR Charger class or Bomber hobby stock.

1975 Chevy Nova NASCAR Street Stock

I had a few others and will post them when I can find some pictures.

Red bug was my old car, it went to KY about 9 years ago. Best ET was 6.74 (1/8) on a slick track. The white is my current one. Best ET is 6.84 @100 mph. No nitrous or turbos, just pure VW power.[ddd

Dang you Don! You made me dig through lots of old boxes to find the racing photo albums.

Over the years I've worked on lots of race cars locally (crew chief, mechanic, fabricator, sign painter, gofer...you name it), but these are the only ones I drove on a regular basis (translate that as owner). I've driven other peoples cars in mechanics races, or because the regular driver wasn't available, or as a thank you for all the work I did on the car. These are 1988 - 1992

This started out as a street stock the first year...

Then the class rules changed, and we got shoved in to the late model class. Unfortunately, this is the only shot I was able to salvage of this car. Two years of pics of this one got wiped out from a broken water pipe (the only album to get wet )

This was my old Super Gas (9.90) Drag Car in the 1980's. I eventually converted it to a street car. I still see at at the drag strip now and then as who ever owns it now is racing it again.

Drag strips have closed down around here, so I am thinking about selling it or converting it to a street rod.

I don't have many of that one. Very foolish for not taking more. Had it for less than one year. Built it for one race, which it won, just to prove a point. 1963 330 Polara 426 2x4 MAX WEDGE auto transmission.
