motor mounts

Is this upside down? I think it is, it fits a little better the other way and I think that tab goes on the bottom

If it will bolt to the block in either position and you're gettin ready to fabricate frame mounts, then it's your choice which way is upsidedown..[cl

Im not to sure about that fuzz there is a definatly a top and bottom. Is this a stupid know brainer ? this is my first ever build and I was not raised around cars, so Im just lookin for a little help. Thanks

the tab is usually a safety item. Picture it as if the rubber wasnt there at all would the tab hold the motor up or would it just fall down? $.02

So tab down so it wouldnt just fall down. RIGHT?[S

that sounds logical to me, build in fail safes, so that IF somthing fails You will be safe

That mount should be installed at a 45 degree angle with the tab pointing down. The weight of the motor keeps it together, but if the rubber fails the tab keeps the motor from lifting up and jamming the throttle lingage in the wide open position.
