My homemade tailgate for my 47 ford

I decided to give it kind of a 3D look. I used expanded metal and 1/4" round rod.

Looks really good! I would hit it with some flat brown and olive drab, and then let go to rust. Bare metal rust is way to red, and won't have that aged look. But that's just my opinion.

I think that is the route i am going. Want it to have a rust look, but not the really red nasty looking rust.
