I'm pretty good with photoshop, but I can't figure out how to do this.

I can't figure out how to keep some color in black and white photo's.

I have not done it yet, but I think you have to mask the parts, you want to color, or cut them out, then turn the photo to B&W then put them back in.
 
Quick & easy

I typically make 2 copies of the image. I turn one B&W & then select & copy the color part I want & paste it in the B&W image. This is the quick & easy way! Or you can select an area or areas in the color image & then make the inverse B&W.
