LFE, I like this truck so much, that it makes little difference which tire choice you use, they both look good. I can also see a hint of my truck without the hood. I have always liked the long hood look because it was different. But it really looks good both ways. The way you set this truck up, it's like owning about 5 different trucks. You must have built those models as kid that had the optional builds. Top on, top off, white walls, or not, hood, or no hood, Your truck rocks.

remarks

Thanks Jeff for the kind words I counted and its 6 different ways. Got the rear window mail sloted. After we got that done we took the top off. We went riding for about 2 hours with the top off and no windshield . Absolute blast , best ride of my life. Been taking pics like crazy but cant get them from computer to my documents page. I have the new windshield
almost mocked up. Been too busy having fun to read camera instruction book. Maby Sun morning when I am alone and its too early to make noise in the garage I will get it figured out. Got real cold , 28 this morn. so I dont think we will be doing any riding without a windshield. Local glass man will do both side for 56 bucks, hopefully by mid week it will be done. Now back to work. LFE

The secret is out!

I was trying to keep it quiet, the reason it is so dark behind us in the pic is we didnt want the revenuers to see our still. You guys crack me up, I needed a good laugh thanks LFE PS Sam likes a cold beer poured right on the floor , after 2 he sleeps like a baby.

think I got pics

#1 top is off, # 2 mail slot is welded up, #3 Roll bar in the cab looked too high,it just looked goofy, so because it is removable we took it out , with plans to put one in the bed later, # 4 We took it for a ride with no windshield ,no brain no pain , Those are genuine ratrod approved snow boarding helmets we have on ,They made us feel safe and best of all covered our faces so we couldent be recognized .LFE

Why not shorten up the rollbar a little? 2nd, be sure to check your local regs on eye protection. Here you need a windshield unless you are a motorcycle.

But as always I love your truck, just because it is so much fun.

BTW, do you know how to tell if a motorcyclist is a happy guy? You can tell by the bugs in his teeth.

The top is removable, the bottom of the A piller has a 1/4" plate with a 7/16 hole and the cab top has a 7/16 pin that holds the front together and the back bolts down.We tapped the hole in the a piller and build a windshield frame out of an old bed rail and bolted it to the piller. We cant lower the roll bar in the cab cause it would be to close to our heads. So we mocked up one to be put in the bed pic shows windshield frame and roll bar mock up. Glass frames are at welders getting done . I made them out of Aluminum on the shrinker stretcher. LFE

roll mods

I already had the inside roll bar hoop ,but it is not welded in place yet. After meas 5 times and cut once for a change , we removed the top of the hoop ,fabed up some brackets to attach it to the rear frame. we made some pockets so it can be bolted in place and moved inside when running with cab on ,inside it slips into a pocket on top of vert piece which stays in the cab.Two roll bars for the price of one. Brain farts produce some crazy stuff dont they?LFE
