Anyone had this done? Where can it be done and about what would I expect to pay??

Hey Mike, the only place I know of around here is Salem Spring in Winston-Salem. The cost, havent got a clue...[S

Let me know what you have and I can call them (save you a long distance call that way) and let you know what they would charge.

Some frame shops are equipped to do this, look in the phone book and call some locations. Look for ads that say Frame and Spring you might get lucky.

I had a pair rearched and it cost $150. They also put teflon buttons between the leaves, so they had to drill 2 holes in each leaf (except the main leaf).
Prices in your neighborhood may vary.

The places you want to look at are considered Truck spring and axle businesses. I think they also retemper the springs as opposed to just reshaping each leaf, otherwise the springs would resag in time.
