i have access to a brake and my own bead roller. never tried anything this large before though. any hints, tips, secret tricks to foldin n weldin up a decent lookin bed? think shortened T bed with a bead around the perimeter on the sides with a radius to match the tires.... i'll take all the advice i can get aand thanks for any if ya got some.

My only advice is go easy on your welds and watch for warpage it will sneak up on ya.

Like bonehead said use squire tubing for the pockets.

I have built some and I use either 18 or 16 gauge steel little less chance of oil canning when welding. At the top rail I use round tubing and just weld it to the edge of the top rail.

I also use a 32-37 degree bend for the top rail just looks better to me then a 45 degree bend.
