we drove this car all over this summer with the TPI motor that was in it when we got it.time for it to go. traded our drag car rolling chassis( keeping the motor and trans for future project)to local engine builder for a new motor .while waiting for motor welding in holes in fire wall used by previous owner for all the wiring. and patching holes in floor,filling in cowl vent,paint on frame. new wiring.

striped all wiring that was wire harness from 87 camaro.what a mess. wont need all this crap for carbed motor.

looks like a nice 65 elky in the garage, too.

is that a nova/camaro sub-frame in the 39?

got a 77 nova sub-frame in my truck and l love it :D

what motor and trans are going back in?

nice looking car, looks like a good solid start.

the elcamino is 65 it is a costomers car I installed a vintage air .ididit column and preped interior for apolstery. the motor going in 39 is a 355 ,forged pistons, big valve heads, 278 duration cam, edelbrock performer rpm intake,4012 700cfm holley. stall converter and 700r4 trans.

gauge pods

got some new gauges . they were slightly smaller than the old ones .didnt cover holes very well ,so I made these pods frome some pvc pipe. after I prepainted the dash.

beed blasted the out side of this carb. do you thinkI should spray some clear coat on it?

I remember when i was about 16 didnt matter how late i was out or how hungover i was...saturday morning,MOW THE YARD...then you can sand all day!!! THAT WAS DADS MOTTO!!! NOW I THANK HIM FOR THOSE MORNINGS!! sometimes we really do learn the hard way!!! lol looks great! cant wait to see it in color!! any color ideas yet????[P[P[P[P
 
gettin close to the end of this damn sanding. have started to shoot some primer on frontend pieces. I havent shot any paint for years. kinda rusty.my wife and I are going make a temporary spray booth in the back of our shop this week end. maybe in color next week. here is what I have sofar.

bought a zips water pump riser. this is really a cool piece to solve a problem.
