Absolutely. It'll go some way toward justifying filling up the memory card in the wife's camera with hundreds of pictures of the chassis at various stages.

Thanks - much appreciated :) Skull - found the pic of my kid's chassis. When we get the sheetmetal on it, it'll be based on a late 30s American Austin truck. My son wants to name it the "Lil Red Rooster" after his late Grandpa's '32 Austin Bantam Altered. It'll have the same red and white paint...

Yep, that's me :) Cool dwarf car. A street legal one must be fun - those things come out of the corners on a dirt track like a rocket, even with less than ideal traction. On tarmac, they must be a blast. Since my kid and I have been going to our local track, I've been considering picking one up...

Just arrived and managed to cause a stir already:o Looks like RRR is every bit as good as it's reputation, and I very much appreciate all the welcomes I got since I joined. Born in the UK, and moved to the States 20 years ago, settling in SoCal. Been a gearhead since birth thanks to my Dad...

    3ton bobber?

No problem. They put them in the NPR box vans, and I believe they were rebadged as GMs too. Good luck with the project, and I look forward to seeing how it turns out. Great price on the Cummins/Allison - hard to turn that down.

Thanks again for all the welcomes - it's much appreciated. I've actually been a member on the other forum for quite a while. I appreciate that a lot of very knowledgeable people hang out there and this hasn't necessarily changed my respect for their skills, opinions, insights and experience...

If you're thinking of a diesel, look into the Isuzu motors. A lot of people are using those as the price of the Cummins motor has gone up, they're easily rebuildable (removable cylinder liners) and they turn up at the boneyards more often. You can get a conversion kit to bolt a GM 700R4 behind...

Thanks for the welcomes, and I appreciate I shouldn't roll in complaining and whining. What got my goat was that I posted on the other forum thinking they would be of a like mind and would appreciate the car for what it was, and instead it was dismissed out of hand as if it wasn't even worthy of...

Flicking through the latest issue of Hot Rod, and I'm just about done when I come across a teaser pic from the next issue (lurking just inside the back cover) of a superb looking rat rod. I've been all over it with a magnifying glass and throwing everything I can see into searches without any...
