    AK title

Just went through the no title situation in AK. 1,get bill of sale 2,get appraisal from qualified dealer 3,get bond for 1.5 the value of appraisal 4, turn in title request with above items. I paid $100 for bond (truck was $50. just cab with frame). DMV rejected it (now I have a $100 bond...

    1968 Ford Mustang Pro-touring

thanks for the compliments. I have thought about selling it for funds to put into the 49 f1 and also picking up a 48-52 plymouth suburban to build a rat surf wagon.

    1968 Ford Mustang Pro-touring

This is my mustang. It has a mustang II front end, 392 stroker with retrotek efi, tko600, ford 9" and other stuff. THis is why the 49 truck will be low budget.

    leaf spring restoration?

Thanks for the help. I have thought about the Posies springs however it would be $800. I do have another set. Hopefully in better shape. Will removing every other leaf give the truck a more compliant ride? $800 seems like a lot to spend on just springs if the other set is in better shape.

    leaf spring restoration?

I'm thinking about restoring a set of leaf springs from my 49 Ford F1. They are pitted pretty badly and was wondering if they are safe to restore? I'm planning on removing every other spring to lower and reduce the tension.

    1949 Ford bobber build

That grill looks great! I have a new 49 f1 project and was wanting to run a hood. Way to think outside the box.

Oh also plan on running the stock leaf springs for front and back to keep cost down. Will also push the front forward by 6-10 inches to give it a stretched out look.

    New guy in Juneau Alaska

I was planning out the build (typically overplan stuff) and was wondering about the Z in front. I plan on keeping the flathead 6 with 3 speed. The clutch when depressed actuates a rotating shaft that locks into place with the tranny. For simplicity sakes, I was thinking about doing the cut...

    New guy in Juneau Alaska

49 truck picked up the 49 ford f1. I've never done a full on project so it will be a learning process. It came with a 226 inline 6, three speed, cab, bed and frame with leaf suspension. Got it all for free. Trying to figure out my first step. I believe it is to remove the cab from the...

    She's not a RAT

Hey martyf, the owner of that car also has two old Cadillacs. Its a classic car rental company there. There is also a collection of old cars for the same purpose in Haines which your cruise boat went by. Lastly, here in Juneau, its amazing what there is hidden in garages and out driving...

    New guy in Juneau Alaska

Hi my name is Brian. I'm in the process of deciding which of two to build. #1 1949 ford F1 fender-less, with hood, some sort of grill, z'ed frame, old school 226 inline 6 with four speed manual. Not much body work needed and comes with bed. #2 1959 chevy apache. Lots of rust on body...
