    My 34

Hi, I'm Chris Blohme a pinstriper and kustom kulture artist out of Orange CA. For the last couple of years I've been working on a 34 chevy pick up. I thought I had posted her up here before, but it's been a while and I'm not looking through a ton of old posts to find it. Well here you go. She's...

    Main bearing

I just realized that I put main bearing, I meant drive shaft bearing. Sorry for the confusion.

    Main bearing

Ok I just pulled 7 of the 10 ply leaf springs off of my rear axle. It's a stock frame and suspension on a 34 chevy flat bed. The bracket of the main bearing is now tilted up insetead of straight like it was. My truck has dropped about 5 inches. How much play room do these things normally have?

    Headlight mounting

thanks This looks almost like what I figured I'd do, just I used a green for the grill itself. I guess I have to reinforce the plate behind it. I'll work on that today. Thanks.

    Headlight mounting

I have a 1934 chevy, stock the headlights have a bar that connects between the grill and front fenders. It's a rat, so fenders are not on, the headlights have no outter support and wobble. So my thought was to give it a cross bar in front of the grill, but that seems like a ford thing. I could...

    Coolant overflow.

See this one's in good shape, the one I found had the label worn off. Luckily it's etched in as well, but either I grind it off or I repaint the label. If I get time I'll get a pic up of it. Besides, I'm a pin striper, I can't help myself.

    Chevy front leaf springs.

Ok I have a 34 1/2 ton truck. The front end suspension is still stock with 5 ply leafs up front. I'm looking at putting drop bars up front, found lots of them for fords not for chevy's. So what I'm looking at is putting shocks up front so I can use the ford arms. Any suggestions?

    Coolant overflow.

I checked out the sinclair, it's a bit dark, I dig the can. The radiator tube is a good idea, the shop over here has some, but there all 16 inch. Now this fire extinguisher looks like the right size. I haven't painted bras before either. I might need a couple just to have around. I think I have...

    Coolant overflow.

Here's a pic of the space I have to work with. I know, y'all know what a radiator looks like, just thought it'd help.

    Coolant overflow.

Ok I have a 34 chevy truck, and it's a rat. No hood, fenders. There's a black and green thing going on this one's color scheme. I need to do something cool for the coolant overflow tank (cause I don't have one now) and I'm just drawing a blank. It's got to be heat resistant, not glass. I mean...

    Carpet over wood floor boards

While I'll agree it looks fine, the wood is sealed on the floor side and painted on the bottom. I have this roll of astro turf and I want to used it. Besides I do need to cover up the hole. I have to do some more work shaping up a chunk of metal, but I think I can make a half decent cover.

    Carpet over wood floor boards

I have a 34 chevy truck, the floors are wood, there's a big hole around the shifter in the floor, and I'm about to put astro turf in. What I need is to know what kind of lining and or padding will work over the transmission area. The have some heat shield pading over at my local store, but...

How to paint racing numbers, etc

If you get too messed up with doing it yourself. There are a few guys out your way, pin-stripers mostly, but numbers letters, it all kind of goes hand in hand. I don't know about out your way, but I do numbers and letters pretty cheap compared to pin stripes. Other wise, practice on a piece of...

can you shoot clearcoat over a signature?

One shot makes an acrylic clear. It won't mess with the sharpie and it's U.V. protective, but after a few years the signature will fade on it's own.

    36 Ford Pickup?

If you have the doors you should be able to make a template from the frame. From that you just get a glass cutter (If you're not one) to cut out the template you made. Everything on that one should be flat so it'll be easy... Well as easy as anything else on it is.
