    Look what followed me home!!

It's gigantic for a coupe. It has a 132" wheelbase. That's about 25" longer than my grandpas 32 ford coupe. Plans are to rebuild the body with steel. Get rid of all the wood. I want to run the fenders. I'd like it to have a nail head and auto. I have a 57 Chevy truck axle for the front end...

    Look what followed me home!!

I will post up the build when I get to it. I will be taking the original motor, trans and axles out. I'll save them for when I'm an old man and want it back to original.

    Look what followed me home!!

Well I found another 1930 Buick on Craigslist last week. This will now be my third 1930 Buick, but this one is a lot more complete. It is a 60 series model 68 5 passenger coupe. The guy I got it from bought it 30 years ago to build into a street rod, but never did anything with it. The car is...

    Thats SOOO TUBULAR!!

What material will they use for the frame? HRER, DOM or chromoly? Use DOM or better. I have built lots of rock crawlers and roll cages from 1 3/4 tube. HREW bends and dents like a straw. I don't recommend it. Here is a cage on one of my Toyotas. Tube and labor or not cheap. There is at least...

    Thank you EBay!

The hood was from Oregon. I bought the two 1930 buicks from Nevada two years ago for $400. I have two complete bodies. The second body I'm going to take the front and read doors and make one long door, then use the rear window and rear section of body to make a extended cab truck. I think...

    Thank you EBay!

I know I stole the fenders. They were 2 hours from my house. I got them from a 70 year old man that bought them for his Chevy 20 years ago. They sat in his shop this whole time. The grill shell was 4 miles from my house. It's not in the best of shape, but perfect for my hot rod!

    Thank you EBay!

Well in the last couple months I have scored some major parts for my 1930 Buick off the Internet. This is my 4 door sedan body that sits and waits for me to have time and more parts. I was afraid I would never find the right parts for my not that common Buick. So far I got a hood for $100, a...

    front end lowering

In some states its illegal to use blocks in the front. If you do use blocks, make sure the axle doesn't hit the frame or oil pan.

    York 210 compressor

Yorks work great as engine driven compressors. All my Jeep buddies have them for on board air for 4wheeling. They run air tools and fill tires very well. I do remember my friend does turn a valve every couple uses to put the oil back in the pump. I used to work in a shop installing air bag...

    Chevy/Reo?

Nice pile of parts!! I love old Chevys. I have a 29, 30, and 33 Chevy truck. I will be watching this one. Hey bonehead, that's a 31-33 Chevy truck cab. 29-30 had square corners behind the doors. The back of your cab has round corners. 1931 was the first year of that. If it has a pop up vent...

    Hello, from Northern Cali

I grew up with it sitting right there in that spot in black primer with the fenders off sitting on original cheater slicks and bias ply skinny goodyears in the front. I fell in love with hot rods at a very, very young age. It was painted about 8 years ago. It has a 1963 Chevy 327 in it.

    Hello, from Northern Cali

Yep, grandpas got a 32 Ford. It might be alittle shiny to be around here, but here it is. I need better pictures of it once it's out of the shop. It's almost drivable. I think deep down inside he's afraid to finish it.

    Hello, from Northern Cali

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I like it here. Lots of info and people willing to help out. I can't wait to start on the Buicks. I have a couple other projects in line before I can go all out on them. I compete in rock crawling comps with a Toyota tube buggy I built and I'm in the middle...
