Art Morrison GT or Roadster Shop REVO

I have no love to give for the Morrison stuff. I have one in shop right now for a 60 Pontiac that is way more flexible than it should be. The Roadster Shop guys do build a nice product; and I do too.... This was a customer supplied frame that another shop took on. We rebuilt...

    Caliper Questions Help!

Light, Multi-piston and FORD.... PBR calipers are found on Mustangs and such. They can be made to work on just about rotor given you have a bit of skill making brackets. But they are not really Ford calipers. PBR is an Australian company that provides calipers for many makers. Good luck

    Chassis Build: 34 Ford PU

Leo, I have browsed a few posts. I'm willing to live and let live. If someone needs help, I would be glad to do so. I will be posting more as soon as we get back on this project. Right now I'm wrapping up some mail order stuff so the projects are on hold this week.

    56 Merc front end?

I would think the aluminum cradle Crown Victoria front end would end up being about 3" wide PER SIDE. If I recall the track width is +/- 65" center to center. Something more like the 1986 and earlier Jaguar XJ front end would be a better choice. Set of Ford Granada/Lincoln Versailles spindles...

    Chassis Build: 34 Ford PU

I am currently restoring the chassis for this: As soon as I have some progress shots on it, I will post a build thread on it too. Once it's a roller I will get back on the fenders and cab installation on this 34.

    Brake question

Rear calipers on the front? That is most likely the issue. In most cases 80% of braking is done with the front brakes, rear brakes/calipers (wheel cylinders too) are generally smaller. Given that disc brakes are more efficient than drums, disc brake calipers are more exaggerated. Changing...

    frame advice please

Pretty hard to argue against a beam axle and hair pins for something like a Model A sedan. Here is a 31 Sedan I did a few years ago. Slightly different arrangement of the above parts but you get the idea.

    Chassis Build: 34 Ford PU

Frame assembly and some more mockups before we can do the steering and pedals. Pretty typical stuff, so here's the pictures: I enlarged the holes for the engine mounts, couldn't find the correct units even though I paid extra to get the right ones. Sometimes you have to admit defeat. Notice...

    Chassis Build: 34 Ford PU

Larry came to me a while back, he found a very clean 34 PU cab and bits for cheap, problem was it was for a multi-ton truck, so no frame. We hashed it out for a bit and I encouraged him to find an original frame which he did! Crusty but still usable. Larry collected parts for a while and we got...

    FNG: PHX AZ Hot rodder/fabricator

The COE has been a horribly long project. Link to the album Bottom picture is what we started with, top was just an idea that never made it.

    FNG: PHX AZ Hot rodder/fabricator

That is/was the infamous Roach Rod. I caught all sorts of hell for that one. Here is the full album of the build Since these pictures it has been painted black and the owner is wiring it up. Should be done soon and tearing up the streets.

    We need to talk

I will definitely have a look. I have been a HAMB member from the beginning. Just a bit disenfranchised with the direction, however I have made a couple hundred friends there that I still want to talk to. The car never got finished. The owner and I had a strong disagreement about the...

    We need to talk

Just dropped by to give thank yous to the attitude expressed here. This is Steve from IC, the guy who fixed that sketchy ride. I am impressed that you do get what the whole point of the blog post I wrote was all about. Don't know if I will post much here, rat rods aren't really my thing. I am...
