That's a great car to work on, man. So what will you do to it?

    Help..my arms aint short enough!!

I know it sounds silly but why don't you stick a couple of chromed bullets onto the wiper shafts and treat the windshield with RainX? It works wonders and makes you ask why we use wipers anymore...

    remove paint off chrome?

Soak the stuff in 409 overnight. The spray paint will come off like hot butter, and it's very gentle. I use 409 to strip paint off model kits. If you're patient it works wonder without even having to rub...

    License Plate Re-furb?

I redid my black and yellow California plates. I first spray painted the base black, then went over the top of the letter with a brush. Steady hand works well, plus you don't ge the edges too sharp. which would not look natural. The original letters are not that well defined and they are rolled.

    Car Show Fraud

Trophies are a tricky things. Always have. Some people actually request to enter as an exhibit-only vehicle so they don't get involved with being judged. I've done that and felt a lot better about — among other things — being able to bail early, before the awards. ;)

    Screen Names

Very nice knives, Blademan. My screen name comes from the fact that I live in a twisty canyon and I like to carve those roads with my ’67 Fastback.

    VW Roadster done!

Very nicely done, man. It's great to see VW done this way. I like the headlight treatment too. Have fun with it.

    who builds these ?

It's Russel Mitchel od Exile Cycles. Get ready to cough-up some serious cash. Russel likes to deal with the Hollywood crowd and the prices reflect that. The chassis kit is $9,000. You have to provide wheels, motor + tranny and front end I think. Pretty steep.

    Rookie alert

Good luck with your project. The key is to educate yourself and get as much knowledge on the topic as possible. Frequenting message boards and asking lots of silly questions will turn in you into a hot rod stud in no time.
