I got to weld in piece of steel to replace a pitted piece of stainless. it is not anything structural just cosmetic. if this is possible can i mig it or will the two metals oppose?

anyone ever heard of a company called powermatic? i am in the process of purchasing one for 225. it is a floor not bench press. the number is 1170. wanted to see if its a quality product or im just getting scammed.

haha dyce thats funny. well the other problem i had was that the car was cranking at the start position and was driving me nuts. turns out one too many wires at the ign post on the starter. then the damn neutral safety switch is built into the column which I didnt know so started going crazy...

ok. so what happened was i ran a wire from the coil to the solenoid on the starter which was giving it volts at the start position. that problem is solved. thanks all who chimed in.

would it be the starter wired incorrectly or the ignition switch wired incorrectly?

ok. so the grease is residual from the engine that accumulated on top of the plug. what was happening was that the plug was not tight because it was the plug I took out to check for spark. so it was oozing because the pressure was coming out since it wasnt tight. anyway. skunked fuel was the...

I started wiring the car already and so far its going quite smooth. I recently picked up an old philco tube radio where i will mount under the dash to store my fuse panel. question: can i splice into the starter wire to run a hot for my carb?? it says to not splice into alternator or distributor.
