I made a little progress tonight but didnt take pictures as I went:mad:. But what I did was lengthen my drag link by 6 1/2" and then sleaved it with a 11" piece of pipe. Does anyone know if the bend next to the pitman arm is the way it is suppose to be or it got bent?

Ok I called a spring shop and he has some already made, they are grade 5 and he said they will be strong enough for sure.

Yeah im going to use them on the front leafs, and I think they are a grade 5. Is that strong enough?

Does anyone know if I can make square u bolts out of foundation bolts, Is it safe?

Well for my brakes I bought a 70's brake cylinder and built the rest you see in the pics and it is going to mount on the inside of my frame rail. Now for the steering I took the original box and moved it back about 14" and cut the shaft, I still need to get some u joints for the rest of the...

Holy crap! its been about five months and I have barely done anything. All I have done is made my brake assembly and figure out my steering. Im loosing steam on my project. I think its about 60% done,its just hard when its your first build ever and none of your freinds have any desire to help:(

Finally got a little work done, I cut out the hole for the steering boxand relocated it but after mounting the box I realized I have a problem. the top of the box is about 3/8" from my header flange. Which way does the motor shift and will this work or do I have to go with solid mounts?

My brother just bought it at an estate sale actually he bought a 64 novaII four door and they threw it in for $400, we just got it home and put e new battery and it started up, but the buick is siezed or just realy hard to turn. What might it be worth? It didnt have a water pump carb or distributer.

I looked on speedway and they are all splined on one end, is that all they make?

The shaft on the box where the pitman arm connects is 2" higher than the ball joint at the drivers tire.

Man I wish I had property, I would have all kinds of stuff.
