Well I figured I would get started on the windshield and back glass frames. I did the back glass first and I must say that was a lot more fabbing than I thought. Is there an easier way??? The main objective was to have a smooth frame with no screws showing. Here is the back:This is 1/8" flat...

The difference is I spent about $15.00 a shock. At my budget I can't afford Bilsteins. Plus, I am happy with the ride. Maybe one day.

Well I went with some AutoZone specials. I told him to give me the crappiest ones he has and they turned out pretty good. As far as the windshield frame, I would like to build something that tilts. The 46 Ford never came with one from factory. What a shame.

I would rather not. I like the idea of being able to take the glass out for some reason. Most of the body work isn't done and I drive it incomplete.

Windshield frame Well I am ready to start on the windshield. I have been using Lexan and screwed to the lip. It works, but looks like crap. I am thinking of building a frame or cutting down a gasket From the factory was a gasket. But I think a frame would be cool. Any of you built a frame or...

Anyone build their own windshield frame?

Did you find an answer? I am looking as well.

    Making your own Windshield Frame

Missing. I have been using Lexan and just screwing it to the lip. Works, but looks like crap.

    Making your own Windshield Frame

I have a 46 Ford Truck that has been chopped and I need a glass windshield. Has anyone made their own frame or do you just have to use a gasket?

Got to test the suspension out and it works great. I couldn't be more happy with it. When I aired out the bags the tires were really close so my buddy gave me some wheels. Which matched the fronts and went with a taller and skinnier tire. Now it is perfect. Been working on whether or not to go...

Thanks, no I have not gotten it the road yet but I can't wait. I still have a few more things to do. I can tell that I might need to invest in some better shocks. These have seen better days. Any suggestions?

Trying to finish the rear suspension up. I've a few updates: I swapped the front bushings for a heim joint. [/IMG] Still need to tighten everything up [/IMG] [/IMG][/IMG] Good ol' manual valves, because I am cheap like that. [/IMG] My favorite: [/IMG]

Pan hard bar. I realize it may not need it, but it doesn't hurt anything.

I really do not know how to respond to this post. First of all how much lift do you actually need or can actually use. It lifts plenty for what I am doing. The lower link is a 2X2 with poly bushings on both ends with a tab welded to the axle just like most every other link setup. The 3-link bar...

Question, does it make a difference that this is 1" solid stock and not tubing? I can add a gusset if need be.

I see that but I am curious how some big named shops use a setup like this all day long and get away with it.
