what to do is your call. i like the patina. one thing to remember, if you decide to shine up what you have, make sure whatever product you use contains no silicone. if it does and you decide to paint it later it could be a real pain. i say pretty up the wheels, maybe lower it a bit and drive it forever.

Seems like when ever I get something painted I wreck it.
But this is my wife truck I don't think she'll ever get rid of it, I finally had to put a flatbed on it cuz the original one was falling off
