Looks like a pushrod 4 cyl,could be a 1600 Ford.
AKA "Kent" motor.

Commonly used in Cortinas,and Fiestas.
A few were put in early Pintos.

The exhaust is kinda interesting.
It would confuse more people if the motor was completely covered.

Oh dear my twisted little mind is making plans on how I would do something similar...:eek: must put a muzzle on the little voices in my head :rolleyes:
 
All I can tell ya is that the exhaust valves are in the block ,an the intakes are overhead..:confused: other than that the blue painted valve cover is throw'n me off, maybe an MG or a Volvo....?
