Good Guys Indy drops drags

Well it looks like there are not going to be any drag racing at Indy Good Guys show for 2011. There contract ran out at Raceway Park and they have moved the show to the IMS. Guess we will have to see how it goes. They also changed the date to September.

Hate to hear that about the drags, but that might be a better date.

For several years I made the 650 mile drive to Indy Goodguys specifically for the drags. After getting rained out at least half the time I quit going. Just wasn't worth the risk. Always thought moving the date out of the rainy season would be a good idea but moving the location and eliminating the racing is not.
Makes a person wonder if NHRA is trying to get vintage drag racing under their control???
