Just wanted to introduce myself, been into cars for 25+ years, built many, just picked up a 51 I believe Ford F1 to start the rat rod project.

The plan is obviously to remove the fenders, front end, and swap for a straight side bed that is in better shape. Frame is solid, and will have to do for now, along with the flat 6. Chop the top, and channel the body over the frame...

Long term goal is build my own frame, and flathead V8 or V12 power...

Going to do a lot of the strip down of the body at the shop, then bring the new rat home for the chop work...

Plans come together pretty quick I guess, thursday I'm picking up a 331 Hemi from a new yorker... should look pretty sick =)

I also may have scored a '01 F250 super duty rear axle complete, working on the owner of it for a price.. 3.73, limited slip

In a couple weeks I'll be ordering the steel for the frame, but I'll get some illustrations up on a frame design, and get some opinions from the pros here...
