    A Short Story - An S10 to a Ditch-Bomber

Mine is currently at 3 1/2", it definitely has scrubline issues. If remember correctly when it had 1 coil cut in the front and 2 in the rear it was a decent ride. Now most of the ride is in the seat, man is that thing comfy!

    4wd s10 chassis for a 50s car?

I wouldn't recomend it, its a tall frame and not easy to lower and maintain a decent ride.

engine debate..what do you like n why???

I vote for the 500, I'm a little bias though. There is a lot of aftermarket available for those torque monsters.

    Low and long more doors

My Caddy, I actually like the roofline on the sedans better than the coupe de Ville.

What do you do for a living?

I've been a commercial carpenter ever since I got out of high school ('91) lots of fancy lobbies, law firms, cabinetry, etc. I like it, it pays the bills, I've even won awards over the years. The funny thing is that I'm not really into woodworking outside of work, I like metal...

    Car display "Don'ts"

I don't like when people open their hoods when there is really nothing to look at. I've seen late model cars at shows with their hoods up and the engine was dirty, I don't get it.

Is the love affair over ???

I didn't get my license until I was 18, only because I had taken my mom's car out and wrecked it when I was 15( luckily I was on a back road and no other vehicles were involved ). All I wanted to do was drive, I had been driving in the fields since I was 11, I would volunteer to move the cars...

    Bondo abuse

When I started shaving the handles on my Caddy, I took the door panel off the pass. front door and discovered that it looked like two doors were cut with a hatchet and brazed together with a healthy skim (3/8"-1/2")of bondo over it. (nice '57 by the way)

    New Old 66 F100

Welcome, my buddy and I built a 66 last year. He used DJM dream beams and cut a coil. After that we saw some info on the Crown Vic front ends, they're almost a bolt in swap.
