I'm trying to get my glass done for my car and we're having trouble figuring out what the rear passenger windows should look like. Does anyone have any drawings or templates for the original glass to give us some ideas??
Thanks,
Sean
I'm trying to get my wiring done and I ran into a problem. I have an aftermarket Spal fan that comes with it's own wiring kit. It has:
1. wire to battery
2. wire to fan
3. wire to sender
4. wire to ignition
All these wires come together in a relay.
No problem pretty straight forward. The...
Just wondering if anyone would have some wiring diagrams for a SBC with:
one wire Alt.
Starter-two big lugs one small
HEI-red, yellow, and black wires
Anything else such as pressure senders etc. This is taking me too long to figure out.
Thanks,
Sean
I'm getting ready to run my brake lines and it's my first time ever doing this so I want to make sure I get it right. I have 49-54 chevy calipers from Speedway and an '86 Ford 9" rear drum. Here's what I have so far:
Front:
Master cylinder-2psi RPV-T connection-through frame fitting- flex...
Okay I need some input. A guy gave me a great deal on this new grill, it fit's my rad perfectly, I'll have to fab up new mounts and a shroud but no big deal should only take a couple of hours. Problem is, as there always is one, I have to cut off the lower lip about 2 inches below the bottom of...
Removing Mill scale from metal
I'm getting ready to spray my car with epoxy primer and realized when I got it up on stands that the underside of the subfloor still has a lot of the mill scale (I think it's called) on it. Is there a chemicle that will remove this before painting or do I have to...
Just had some questions about painting epoxy primer over POR15.
To start off the body was media blasted but I was unable to get at some of the underside so I decided to use POR15 in there. I have it sprayed on now and I'm gonna hit it with the POR15 primer now then my plan was to coat the...
Just throwing around the idea of a sliding ragtop, my friend just finished a VW bug with one and I like it.
Does anyone know where to get them to fit a Model A. I have the roof panel in so I figure it shouldn't be too hard to install if I could find one that's more or less flat, not convex like...
I'm just thinking about putting my engine onto my frame today and I can't decide if using my engine lift plate is a good idea. I got one of these:

I have the aluminum AFR heads with an aluminum Edelbrock Air-Gap intake on it and...
i've been scattering posts here and there about my build so I thought I'd just do a final assembly all in one. This way if I have any questions I can find it again, and with the electrical and bodywork I 'll have a lot!!
I got my frame and all my suspension painted as well as my engine block...
I'm just putting my rear end back together and was wondering how much to tighten the control arms on my triangulated four bar. I have urethane bushings and the mounts flex slightly if I crank it down, I'm not sure if they should swing freely or be tight.
Thanks,
Sean
I was looking at the post about the primer nationals and saw this picture. I originally wanted a flat red but I was afraid I'd make it pink, so I bought some gloss red. I can save that for my truck if I can figure out how to get this color.

I got my '30 Model A that I'm trying to prepare for paint. So far it's been a combination of a Zip wheel, Scotchbrite discs, and a cheap siphon feed sandblaster (shooting at about 100PSI so it's doing quite well).
I don't want to warp it or make it too thin so I'm using a Sill #1 sand. I noticed...
I think this might be a long post .
I have some questions on what I'm planning so her it goes, first off this is what I got so far:
Quality Automotive Products Fiber Filler
Dominion Seam Sealer
Proform Self-Etching Primer
Dominion Sure Seal Urethane Primer/Surfacer
Evercoat Metal Glaze
Sherwin...
My doors are kind of flimsy and need a bit of contouring, I'm sure I could figure this out but I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of how they braced their doors without interfering with the windows etc...
Thanks,

I posted this on another site but I think they deserve credit for this. I got two of my new rims from UPS today, the rears are somewhere around Winnipeg??? I opened the box to find out that they had dinged them during shipping, I phoned UPS and got no help. I phoned Summit and it was quick and...
Well I was out in the garage today finishing up my firewall and I was looking at my frame. When I built it I made sure everything was perfect before I welded, I clamped everything to the extreme so as not to move when it got hot. When I got it done it was level and square to within 1/8" corner...
I'm gonna be putting my engine together in the next couple of weeks so I was gonna put in an order to Summit this week to get the rest of the stuff I need to complete it. I know everyone is gonna say spend the money and get the best, while I went and got engaged in April and my girlfriend is...
Well I started to feel lazy after reading Dmw56's post about unfinished builds so I got going. (actually I was at work:D).
I went out ready to do some patch panels and ended up with a roof. I had a sheet of 20g that I was afraid I was gonna kink so I put it up on top of the car to keep it safe...
Like the title says I got a triangulated four bar kit from Suicide doors:

And a Ford 9" rear axle. I was trying to figure out how to mount the upper control arms with an offset pumpkin, this proved to be a little harder than I had thought...
