The local auction house had a sale last night and had what was advertised as a 3? grille shell. I got there late and didn't get a chance to look at it before they got to it. I didn't recognize it as any Ford but bought it anyway.Afterwords I looked at it closely and think it is a '37 truck shell...

I went to a great show today. It was billed as a " Car, Bike and Rat Rod" show. Over 200 very nice cars and some nice rats, too. here some pics.

A friend of a friend owns this Gruman TBM Avenger. It was a carrier based torpedo bomber used in WWII, one of about 15 still in flying condition. He had it in Waterloo for an air show and Tuesday night we got a pre-showing. I couldn't resist parking under the wing to get a couple of pics. Blue

I just got most of the bugs and roadkill scrubbed off my truck and topped off the gas. I really hope I can head out in the morning to the Flying Eyeball reunion in Davenport tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing Sam Fear's Olds in person. 50% chance of rain though. Maybe it'll be OK. Blue

An adjoining land owner bought a farmstead with plans of clearing and farming it. He put the word out to a friend of mine that we could take anything that was left behind we wanted so he wouldn't have to get rid of it.We found a few odds & ends to take home but my big score was a pair of these...

I went to this show today. This is the 1st year they had a Rat Rod class and the 1st show I've been to that had a Rat class. Some pics of the Rats.

I just read an article that said Toyota reveiwed the about 2000 cases of sudden acceleration in their cars and concluded virtually all of them were driver error. Doesn't say much for the driving ability of a large number of their customers.:eek:
