I just adjust the accelerator pump spring. and larger squirter. works every time.

mine has been fixed. I thought i had a newer picture. I just had my spring re-arched to the right length, ordered some speedway perches, and shackles, and the shackles do sit parallel with the axle unloaded. mine is a 55 chev, 1/2 ton axle.

like what you are building! I don't know if i like the spring perch though. I am building something similar. what front axle are you using? this is how i did our's(not finished yet).

that is a healthy short block. the cam and lifters are an easy 500 bucks new. the pistons are forged, so timing, and octane must be right, for fears of detonation. as long as the ad is true and complete, then it is a reasonable price.

breather in the manifold is how all the older, pre emissions stuff was done. when I lived in california, I had to have my 64 malibu air sniffed, and to make it pass, i just hooked a small vac. line to the manifold breather, and that was passable.
