It's the hood off that truck curved and heavily modified.

My thoughts too. I just have a hard time warming up yo those cabs as a fenderless rod.

Wonde how an AD series cab would look done up like that? Since they are narrower and rounder, might look better.

They still look too wide once you take the front end off. I don't know their width in relation to the 65 cab, but they're 8" wider than the 39-46 cab, which is quite a bit when it's fenderless. I have seen a few that look okay, but they usually have some sort of hood fashioned.

Here is my brother in laws fenderless ad chevy we are workin on, it has a hood and will get a cyt down version of the grill. Kinda makes it look not so wide
