Ok I need to know ???? I'm going to need the drop steering arms because there is only a inch between the frame and the steering rod itself. so if the spring drops collapses and the steering rod is stationary the frame will sit on the steering rod yes [S boils down to i need that rod center of my hairpins correct ????[S

i think you are on the right track- drop the tie rod down to the middle of the hair pins... if it takes dropped arms to get the clearance then that's what i'd do...;)
.

looking good on the build to me...[cl:cool:

Thank you hotrod preacher . there is not even any weight on it with only a inch so I knew I was going to have to move something . I think Ill heat and bend these down then acid bath em and powder coat em they will work with a little "modification" [;) I wanted to get the motor in there today at least hanging on the hoist between the rails but tomorrow ?? [;)
I was going to use the frame on the rotisserie than figured out square tube would be easier:D

Very cool!!! Hey where did you get the U bolts for your front spring? I need to get some longer ones and yours looks alot longer than mine

speedway... the stainless u-bolt part # is 916-33014 should bring up the steel ones also....

Cool! Thanx!!!

Looked at them and they are basically the same as what I've got but I notice you only have 4 leaves and I have 6 so I am gonna have to figure something else out for longer ones

just playing around taking measurements..:D....[;) see my new mig

got a friend that was building a bucket roadster that had that problem,i swapped the steering arms side to side and ran the tie rod out front of the axle, that took care of the problem for him,and did the same thing on my 47 that im building, plus it gives me a place to put the front license plate on.just dont use it as a front bumper, lol.just a thought, hope it helps.

Man I'm going to have to do some custom fabrication "THAT BITES" ..[S no one told me about that .. It's going to look pretty sweet...

Thanx Mike, I'll start doing some work here and there on it and see what happens . I have the motor mounts torque converter flex plate. I have to send the water pump back it has about a 1/8" gap on both sides as it is smashing up against the timing chain cover "DANG CHINA MART" LOL... I snuck that mig in, I'm not sure if I'll get away with picking up a plasma cutter I think she's on to me ???
