Ok do we see anything wrong ???? if u do tell me??? should I leave 1-2 inches in front of the grill between my 3" just in case ??? because of the spring behind axel I cant get my grill over the top of my axel and I really think it needs to be as far forward as I can get it without rubbing on my 3" it looks alittle funky where it is sitting now

I am going to section the grill and shorten it, it has a curve in it so it will leave the corners of the frame exposed so I can mount a shock bracket. I'm going to use a electric fan " I know it's wrong" but it works so much better.

I really think it needs to be as far forward as I can get it without rubbing on my 3" it looks alittle funky where it is sitting now

Just a suggestion, if your going to shorten the rad housing, can it go on top of the 3" tube if you need to go farther ahead, and the rad behind the tube if it's to long? The cab has a nice lean on the A pillers, how would it look if you were to lean the rad housing back at the same angle?

I thought if I had to I could put the bottom center point of the grill center of the spring hanger after I cut it down and still have the corners of the frame to mount the shock mounts and give me a straight shot to the vega box "cross steer" . I dont want to lean it unless I have to..

Motor's too far forward....or cab's too far back. Looks like half your transmission will be in front of the firewall. Just my 2 cents, take it for what it's worth....:D

I'm one who starts at one end and works toward the other. I started at the front .... There has been no glue added yet this is to check where it will all go ....

wheeeely factor of coarse

looking between post #33 and #43. location on #33 would look cool if you had a small alum tank on the front. #43 Looks a tad to far forward maybe mid point between the two.

Well thats where I'm at, thinking I can come back from my 3" cross member about 2-3 inches with the grill which I'll have to learn to like the not over the axel look and if I need a little extra space I have it for what ever reason and if not well that front end will be noticeable BUT IT WILL LOOK NICE.:D I hope???[S I'm going to go glue it in tomorrow and hang the trans, we'll see what happens..

Well there is a point when u can go to low...With a 6" drop axel, 15"wheel 26" tire and the "PERCH ON TOP" you will end up like this 1 3/8" at the bottom of the wish bone to the ground  Solution, put 2" block between perch and spring "WILL THAT LOOK STUPID" and raise the back of the hair pin 1" and trim off excess, Right now there is 1 3/8" from hair pin to the ground, add 2" block 3 3/8" from the ground, raise the back of the hair pin 1" now having 4 3/8" from the ground[S .. NEED YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS Bonehead GJMike AND A FEW OF YOU OTHER BUILDERS..

I had the same problem with mine and I made a 1 3/4" aluminum block for mine and I had to get new U bolts made but it worked great!!!

Thanx L,D 13, Thats the game plan, u still need those u-bolts ??? there r 3 spring shops here I'll just go have 1 of them make me some new ones.

And who would trust this theory,[S I cant heat and bend em and no other steering arm will work on these spindles. I have to find something with a 5/8" I.D for a spacer and a friend will mill the outside to look nice . If it was easy everyone would have one right :D

Gus I think you are on the rigth track. I have seen berches blocked before realy doesn't make or brake the look. The other fix would be just moving the hair bin up, If you get into the frame you are going to need to sleave the the frame and get a new joint with a stud long enough to bolt through the frame. also in doing this you will have to watch to see how much the degree on the front end changes. IMO moving the hair pin up gives a cleaner look.
