I think BobW has it. Even when you run a T spring like your in an A rossmember it will cradle it like he was saying. Remember being off a 1/16" at the center clamp will be about 1 1/2" off at the end of the spring. When you do the mounts on the axle they should be a little wider than the resting spring. Then you need to stretch/flatten the spring to mount it to the axle. I would mountit to the axle first, then center it and tighten the mount on the frame. Just my $.02

Ok I know, if it was easy my daughter would build one...[S rear radius rods next. I had the rear axel attached for all of about twenty minutes.. SWEETHEART DAD NEEDS HELP !!!!! :D

Everything else was a opitical illusion, the spring was bent perfect. I'm trying to think of a cool looking way to build a mount for the cross brace for mounting the spring to raise the frame:confused:. I've put wieght on it and to keep having a bumper dragger I'll have to reconfigure my spring mount...[S

How about a truss on top of the axle with shackle mounts up higher, and a higher mount on the frame for the top of the spring? You may be able to make the pumpkin look more centered at the same time.

I still need to grind, reinforce, support, brace and drop the frame rails down some by mounting that brace towards the top of my 2x4 that will bring the backend down.. I moved the spring mounts to the top a lot better. Look NO BLOCKS NO JACKS !!!!! I can say I have a rolling chassis:eek:

Looks good. I way or build things but you might add gussets on each side for frame roll.

Oh yeah!! Hey Mike I'll do gusset's top and bottom get some longer u-bolts and move on it is even, straight everywhere. I'll need to make some radius rods and move on to the cab it's next, meanwhile adding a bunch of little odds and ends . A friend is going to go through the rear end and replace everything and put this pumpkin in it. I can see the fingers pointing now "WHAT IS IT DAD" I a well, lets a a see there son aa aaaa son I dont know WHAT THAT IS.... LOL

That spring cradle looks great, I might steal that design if you don't mind.

Go right ahead, I'm going to add some gussets on top the brace and a little spring padding, I seen that as the easiest on the spring and the easiest to build one piece 2" wide x 1/2" thick and gussets, should last awhile:confused: unless I shorten the craddle then I'll have two welds[S

pan hard bar

Hello, any suggestions any comments will be appreciated. And thank you to each and everyone of you. It is a 36-7 cab, 2x3 square tube frame, 6" drop tube axle spring behind, 9" loaded with a posi pumkin, 355 s/b/c, 700R trans, frame is 20.7/8" at the front.

make sure u add a pan hard bar to front axle to frame these front ends like ti dance around and this cure's this problem and go with gas shocks up front not pete and jakes oil style they are junk
