Last I heard from the claims specialist is everything should be covered. I talked to the truck driver a few weeks ago. I asked about the load. His truck was loaded with aircraft parts which could be quite expensive (more than what I have coverage for). He told me the load was fine and got delivered. I breathed a sigh of relief on that one. Barring anything unforeseen the worst thing I'll get out of this is a higher insurance premium and one totalled 250 dollar truck.
That is the motor, a seized up Powerpak 283. The previous owner bought the car at an auction. I have a feeling that is why there are some odd parts missing, no radiator cap, oil fill, blower motor, and the batwing style air cleaner. I've heard a few stories about people grabbing stuff off of cars/trucks/tractors at auction and taking them home with them. Hopefully the transmission is okay since the one in the Pontiac with the 305 is trashed.
The parts car, also missing lots of parts. Most of the glass is bad including the windshield. Luckily though the hood and front bumper are in good shape.
It has been super rainy around these parts for the past two weeks and shows no signs of clearing up. Since my garage is the great outdoors I haven't got much done. I want to get a car port thing so I can work on it when it rains.
