All cool. I like to look at the ones that made with a car front end. I have seen several with mid fifties Cadillacs as the bases.
There are a fair number of vintage campers for sale around me and I have thought about getting one just to use as a guest room. The vintages go as far back as the 40's.Then I see the prices for decent ones and paying for a motel room once in a while would be much cheaper. :D
My daughters in-laws own a campground and have started to pick up some vintage campers to rent out as cabins as well.
Cool stuff.

Torchie

I saw one similar to that VW one, but it had a 1966 Olds Toronado front.
Very. Weird.

I've been trying (on and off) to find a picture of an image in my mind...

No longer a figment of my imagination, these things were a common sight in the '70's... let me rephrase that... they were a common sight in western Canada back then...

Looks like Bama's Maverick... don't know how it made it all the way up here... anyhow, further research says it was produced in Melfort SK and they titled their creation, "Hitchhiker".
