i like the idea of going with a diesel build. that is what i want to do when i get my build together. Thinking i might get something with a 350 in it so i can drive it around while i build up the diesel.

Awesome build! What's the story on the steering wheel? Is that a hand carved wooden piece?

That's a handle from a rather large valve if it's the same as mine.

The wheel is actually a flywheel from a early postmount drillpress. The motor in this one is a benz turbo om617 5 cylinder, stock m/b auto trans, and a jag rear. I have a cummins 4bt in my current truck, and I am getting ready to put a cummins 6bt in a 36 desoto sedan. I get almost 40 mpg in my truck!

I should get even better with the benz. Better than any flippin hybrid. The desoto will get the fuel gobbler treatment with multi turbos. Love the diesel.
